H-town loves HH so again there was standing room only under the big pavilion!
Hunter and his band were happy to be here and it showed!

Hunter's good friend Les "Pe-Te" Johnson joined Hunter on the stage.
Pe-Te is the host of the very popular Pe-Te's Cajun Bandstand radio show
on the now 100,000 watt KPFT FM in Houston.
Pe-Te brought a child's accordion to the stage with him.
Knowing that Hunter started playing the accordion at the incredible age of two
Pe-Te asked sixteen year old Hunter "Do you think that you can still play one of these?"
Hunter laughed and replied "WOW! I haven't played one of those in over a decade!"
Pe-Te entertained the crowd while Hunter tuned the tiny accordion.
The look in Hunter's famous blue eyes told us that this was
bringing back some wonderful memories for him...
Then Hunter held that little accordion up to the mike
and to the thrill of everyone he proceeded to play
a magnificent version of The Back Door!

KPFT FM is a listener sponsored radio station
They rely on listeners donations to stay on the air.
After Hunter's concert Pe-Te asked Hunter to autograph the accordion
which Hunter happily did.
Pe-Te auctioned the Hunter Hayes autographed accordion on his radio show.
The bids poured in and brought in a nice sum for KPFT.
The winning bidder was presented with the accordion at The Pasadena Strawberry Festival in Pasadena, Texas where he got to see and meet Hunter!
Hunter's outstanding concert continued!
Hunter has used his awesome talent to become a sensational guitar player. WOW!!
